Sad Story

A favorite actor of mine, his name Red Buttons, has passed away. A star of stage and screen for many decades, you might remember him from the films THE LONGEST DAY and THE POSEIDON ADVENTURE. One of my favorite roles of his was in the movie THEY SHOOT HORSES, DON'T THEY? Rent the DVD. It will knock you out. He was 87. We will miss you Red.

On The Roasts, Red, born Aaron Chwaat, on the Lower East Side of Manhattan, always came up with this line of "Why are we honouring this man with a roast, when some of the following NEVER GOT A DINNER":

"Alex Rodriguez, who only hits rookie pitcher who're suffering with groin pulls, NEVER GOT A DINNER";

I'll miss him.

He was a funny man...87, he had a long life. May ALL of us have that many years here on Planet Earth, that blue ball full of life.
